Jonathan Regenstein,
Director of Financial Services at RStudio

Jonathan is the Director of Financial Services at RStudio and the author of Reproducible Finance with R: Code Flows and Shiny Apps for Portfolio Management (CRC Press). He writes the Reproducible Finance blog series for RStudio and his code/apps can be seen at Prior to joining RStudio, he worked at JP Morgan, studied international relations at Harvard University and did graduate work in political economy at Emory University.

Justin Zhen, Co-founder at Thinknum

Justin is a Co-Founder of Thinknum, a leading alternative data company specializing in web-crawled data. At Thinknum, Justin works with hundreds of investment firms, banks and corporations to develop innovative data sources which provide new insights into economic activity moving online. Prior to founding Thinknum, Justin worked at a quantitative hedge fund. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Financial Engineering.



Imtiaz Adam, Founder and Director of Data Science for Deep Learn Strategies (DLS) Ltd

Imtiaz Adam is the founder and Director of Data Science for Deep Learn Strategies (DLS) Ltd and is a Machine Learning Engineer. He also advises companies on how to use AI in relation to their business strategies and operations including the positioning for the next decade as Edge Computing and 5G roll out.

He is rated as a leading influencer on social media for AI and Digital Technology by various ratings agencies and has spoken about AI at the WEF in Davos in 2019 as well as other events around the world. Imtiaz Adam is an Ambassador for AI Tech North, and the World AI Show.

Adam possesses an MSc in Computer Science with Distinction from the University of London where he studied AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Furthermore, he also holds a Sloan Fellowship in Strategy from London Business School where he also undertook an Executive MBA Exchange with Columbia Business School in Financial Analysis and an MSc in Finance with Distinction from Cass Business School.

Prior to this he served as an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, and in the energy sector at BHP Billiton as well as a Structuring Analyst at American Electric Power (AEP).

Julia Meigh, Senior Analyst at Neudata

Julia specializes in ESG and macro research at Neudata, an alternative data intelligence company. Previous to Neudata, her research covered a broad range of topics, which include responsible investing, consumer trends and the global macroeconomy. At Neudata, Julia is part of a team that is responsible for discovering and researching alternative datasets for a wide range of asset managers to use in their investing strategies.

She holds an MSc in Economy, Risk and Society from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics, Politics and Sociology from the University of Westminster.



Gary Read, CEO at

Gary Read is CEO and Chairman of, the leading web data integration company. Previously, Gary served as founder and CEO at Nimsoft, acquired by CA Technologies, and CEO at Boundary, acquired by BMC. As a member of Riversoft’s executive team, Gary contributed to the company’s IPO and eventual acquisition by Micromuse. Gary also served as advisor to LogicMonitor and board member to Granicus, leading both to acquisitions by Vista Equity. Currently, Gary is an advisor to StoryFit and supports his wife as co-owner of Bonito Silicon Valley.



Saeed Amen, Founder of Cuemacro

Saeed Amen is the founder of Cuemacro. Over the past fifteen years, Saeed Amen has developed systematic trading strategies at major investment banks including Lehman Brothers and Nomura. He is also the author of Trading Thalesians: What the ancient world can teach us about trading today (Palgrave Macmillan) and is currently coauthoring The Book of Alternative Data (Wiley) with Alex Denev, due out in 2020. Through Cuemacro, he now consults and publishes research for clients in the area of systematic trading. He has developed many Python libraries including finmarketpy and tcapy for transaction cost analysis. His clients have included major quant funds and data companies such as Bloomberg. He has presented his work at many conferences and institutions which include the ECB, IMF, Bank of England and Federal Reserve Board. He is also a co-founder of the Thalesians.
